Long ago, when the Neos were still at war, there was an odd and rather horrifying custom. Whenever you killed a Neo from an opposing tribe, you would strip them of their pelt, and wear it as a symbol of power. Weak tribes died out immediately, but the strong chose to make peace, so they wouldn't all die out. Nowadays, the tribes that had made peace, became cities and eventually, began to mix with other species. Canids, Vulpines, Felines, Reptilians, and all other mammals became parts of other's lives. Of course, Vulpines were still scared of Canids, Canids and Felines didn't get along, and Reptilians were scared to death of most of the others, but it was to a lesser degree.
Even so, that custom from all those years ago, did not die out. Wolves and Felines still practiced it, in regulation, of course. For one week every year, they'd go out and search for the volunteer prey. Those with extremely rare pelts and markings and those that were rather common, are no longer hunted, but everything in between, is. Because of this annual event, some creatures disguised their markings and pelts to make them seem normal, but, also annually, they needed to buy it from a store hidden deep in the woods, the woods the Canids and Felines hunted in. One such case, just so happened to enter the woods right before the hunt started, and got caught in the middle of it. Now, with ears and tail close to being exposed for what they truly are, and being held captive by a (either feline or canid, your call) from his school, can a young Vulpine survive this? Or will they go down at the hands of (insert name of other character here)?
